EE releases update and tells customers it’s “truly sorry” for ongoing mobile issues UK News

EE customers reported issues with service today (June 22) and the phone company posted further comments on social media.

Customers have encountered issues when using their cell phones to make calls and use data.

According to Downdetector, the issues began around 12:25 p.m., with users taking to social media to complain about the issue.

Issues have been registered by EE users across the UK on Downdetector, including London, Birmingham and Manchester.

EE took to Twitter to let users know he was aware of the issue, writing, “We are sorry that a number of our customers are having difficulty using our mobile services. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and will keep this thread updated.

Just after 8 p.m., EE confirmed via Twitter that “EE broadband and landline services are not affected” and WiFi calling was still possible.

By 9 p.m., EE customers were still having problems using the network and the telephone company was active and responding to customer concerns.

In response to an EE customer, the Twitter account tweeted: “Hi, Some customers are having issues making calls and using data on our network. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue and we are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.

He also went on to say that he would update the original thread “with further information”.

Numerous complaints have been received by EE via social media, with customers frustrated that they cannot use their phones as they usually would without issue.
