Captain Ben Stokes confirmed the 39-year-old would miss the third trial at Headingley which begins on Thursday.

Surrey closer Jamie Overton will make his Test debut in place of Anderson, with Stokes unsure of the severity of the veteran bowler’s injury. Stokes revealed Overton’s inclusion as England’s only change for the New Zealand final Test, with his twin brother Craig missing out on a cap.

“Unfortunately Jimmy didn’t stop as well as we would have liked so Jamie Overton will be making his debut this week,” Stokes told Sky Sports. “It’s unfortunate for Jimmy, but we also have a massive test against India.”

Before the final test, here’s everything you need to know to keep up with the action.

The third test will start at Headingley on Thursday 23rd June at 11am and will finish on Monday 27th June. The game is scheduled to start at 11 am every day.

Sky Sports Cricket will broadcast all the action. Coverage should begin approximately one hour before the start of the game each day.

Test matches can also be streamed by non-Sky Sports customers on NOW TV, with a 24-hour pass to all Sky Sports channels costing £11.99.

The broadcast is also available to Sky Sports customers through their TV provider’s online service, such as Sky Go.

The BBC has earned the rights to bring commentary to the action ball by ball. Commentary will be broadcast on the airwaves of BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra with coverage beginning around 45 minutes before kick-off each day.

Are there tickets available?

According to the Yorkshire CCC website, tickets remain on sale for the first four days of the Final Test. Prices range from £35 to £125 between days one and three, while prices will drop to £10 on day four.
