Police found a knife, cash and Class A drugs during a gang search in Bedford’s Jubilee Park on Wednesday June 22.
Officers from the North Bedfordshire Community Team saw what appeared to be one of the group drop a weapon at 3.50pm before attempting to flee the scene.
A search of the area proved unsuccessful, but a knife and drugs were recovered from the scene.
Resident reports had identified Jubilee Park as an area of concern.
Police now have two ongoing investigations – one for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and one for possession of an offensive weapon.
