He also sent text messages to Mr Zuckerberg proposing a practice bout at the Meta chief executive’s home.
Mr Zuckerberg said: “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date… Elon won’t confirm a date, then he says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”
The 39-year-old Facebook founder has taken up martial arts, including Jiu-Jitsu, winning several amateur medals. He added: “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”
There has been a war of words between the two tech bosses since the Tesla and SpaceX founder posted “I’m up for a cage match if he is” in June.
Mr Zuckerberg replied by inviting his X counterpart to “send location” for the proposed fight, to which Mr Musk replied “Vegas Octagon”, naming a popular mixed martial arts championship venue in the Nevada city.
“Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans,” Mr Musk, 52, added.
The Tesla billionaire has claimed to have been “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight” against his younger opponent. But Mr Zuckerberg hit back by snubbing X’s poor reliability since Mr Musk bought it for $44bn last year.
