Sussex road closures for the week of September 4-10 Brighton News

From Monday, September 4 to Sunday, September 10 there are a few road and lane closures scheduled for the likes of the M23, the A27 and the A23.

These will mainly be for maintenance works to ensure the upkeep of the motorways and A Roads.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it’s best to take note of different diversions in place.

Sussex road closures from September 4 to 10

M23

On the M23 Northbound from Junction 10 to 9 there will be a lane closure for electrical works taking place from 8 pm on Thursday, September 7 to 6 am on Friday, September 8.

Meanwhile, on the Northbound way between Junction 9 and 8 there will be a lane closure for ULEZ sign surveys between Monday, September 4 and Thursday, September 7.

These timings will be in place from 10 pm to 5.30 am every night.

Additionally, on the M23 Northbound at Junction 8, there will be a link road closure with the M25 Junction 7 from 10.30 pm on Sunday, September 3 to 5.30 am on Monday, September 4.

A27

On the A27 eastbound Devil’s Dyke to Falmer there will be a carriageway closure for bridge works from Sunday, September 3 to Friday, September 8.

The timings for this will be from 8 pm to 6 am every night.

Meanwhile, in both directions New Barn Road to Hangleton there is a carriageway closure in place for maintenance works 8 pm on September 3 to 6 am on September 4.

This time is repeated September 9 to 10 and September 10 to 11.

Another carriageway closure comes in both directions on Manor Roundabout to Grove Lodge for resurfacing works.

This will be taking place from 8 pm to 6am on September 4 to 8.

On the A27 westbound Fishbourne Roundabout to Warblington there will be layby and lane closure for maintenance works 8 pm September 6 to 6 am September 7.

Finally, on the A27 westbound Fontwell to Temple Bar there will be lane closure for maintenance works and drainage 8 pm September 7 to 6 am September 8.

A23

On the A23 northbound Handcross to Pease Pottage there will be a carriageway closure for surface works from Monday, September 4 to Friday, September 8.

This will be taking place from 8 pm to 6 am each night.

Additionally, on the A23 at Pease Pottage there is set to be a carriageway closure for structural inspections from 8 pm on Saturday, September 9 to 6 am on Sunday, September 10.

Meanwhile, for a lane closure there is one taking place on the A23 northbound Black Rabbit roundabout to Pyecombe from 8 pm on Monday, September 4 to 6 am on Tuesday, September 5.
