Pre-Order Your PS5 From New Stock At Game Today UK News

The PlayStation5 is currently the most sought-after gadget on the planet, with gamers desperate to get their hands on a new console.

After its release in November 2020, Britons found it almost impossible to find Sony’s latest game console.

But UK gaming fans have found hope with new PS5s available for pre-order on Game today.

The new consoles will be released tomorrow, but you can secure yours now by pre-ordering on Game.

Rumors of a major PS5 restock last week have proven true, and you can reserve your console now.

Each time a new stock lands, it is picked up within seconds and often sells out within a minute.

Demand has been so strong that many retailers have introduced new rules to prevent resellers from taking advantage of the system for profit.

Game said: “PlayStation 5s continue to be in high demand and that demand far exceeds the current supply.

“We have robust measures in place to ensure our ‘1 per customer’ statement is maintained to enable as many individual customers as possible to purchase successfully.

“All pre-orders are subject to automatic checks.

“Order updates occur after a customer receives a valid order confirmation email.

“At this time, these orders are still pre-orders and as such, no payment has yet been taken from customers.

“Payments will begin once our order verifications have been completed.”

Boris Johnson pledges to crack down on ‘vile smugglers’ with new migrant plan | United Kingdom | News UK News

Priti Patel will sign a deal with the African country on Thursday, after failing to reach an agreement for a similar deal in Albania and Ghana.

In a speech due to be delivered in Kent on Thursday, Mr Johnson will claim to be ‘taking back control of illegal immigration’ and preventing ‘vile smugglers’ from turning the sea into a ‘watery graveyard’.

It is hoped that the agreement will reduce the record number of people crossing the English Channel, as more than 5,000 have already done so this year.

The Prime Minister is expected to say in his speech: “I accept that these people – whether they are 600 or a thousand – are looking for a better life, the opportunities that the UK offers and the hope of a new beginning.

“But it is those dreams, those hopes that have been exploited.

“These dastardly smugglers abuse the vulnerable and turn the English Channel into a watery graveyard with men, women and children drowning in broken boats and suffocating in refrigerated trucks.”

Speaking on Newsnight on Wednesday, former UK Border Force chief Tony Smith shared his reaction to the proposal.

He said: “We have to find a way to stop the boats because the numbers are increasing, more and more people are going to drown.

“This is the worst part of human trafficking, and I’m afraid that if we don’t stop the boats, more will continue to arrive and more people will lose their lives.

“We have to kind of break that supply chain.”

Under the terms of the arrangement, the armed forces will be granted the power to track and intercept boats, a task previously carried out by the UK Border Force.

There are also plans to hold asylum seekers in ‘closed’ reception centers in the UK, with the first likely to open at the former RAF station in Linton-on-Ouse, North Yorkshire, reported the Times.

However, the move has been met with widespread backlash over its potential costs, as Australia’s offshore treatment system costs $1bn (£762.3m) a year for just 300 people.

Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said: ‘This proposed treatment in Rwanda is a desperate and shameful announcement by Boris Johnson to distract from his own breaking of the law.

“It is an unworkable, unethical and exorbitant policy that would cost British taxpayers billions of pounds during a cost of living crisis.”

Refugee Council chief executive Enver Solomon claimed the plan would cost £1.4billion a year and asked Priti Patel to ‘immediately rethink’ the solution.

He added, “We are appalled by the government’s cruel and wicked decision to send those seeking refuge in our country to Rwanda.

“Every day we hear the stories of desperate Ukrainian families fleeing war.

“This is the brutal reality facing refugees fleeing conflict around the world, whom this government now wants to treat as nothing more than human cargo to be shipped elsewhere.”

“He (Wisdom) really wanted to come here and we were happy to have him, because of the experience he has and the situation we were in.”

“When the thing with Filip happened, obviously he could go out almost straight away and that’s where the thing with Andre ended,” he continued. “I don’t know where he is now, no. But we wish him good luck.

Having initially attempted to resurrect his career with Birmingham City, Wisdom was seen as a potential solution to the injury crisis that plagued United’s full-back after the start of the year.

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom with Filip Uremovic

Lee Bowyer, Heckingbottom’s Midlands counterpart, has revealed he suspects the 28-year-old linked up with United after failing to report for work at St Andrews; where he was getting back in shape after 10 months of absence.

Uremovic, 25, moved to England after being allowed to suspend his contract with Leonid Slutsky’s side following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He has started his last two outings and is set to make his third appearance when sixth-placed United take on 21st-placed Reading on Friday.

“Filip was already competing at a very good level,” Heckingbottom said. “He was Rubin’s captain and played regularly.”

County Durham town named UK’s most affordable to buy a home for third year in a row UK News

As the UK struggles with the cost of living crisis, property website Zoopla has revealed the most affordable places to buy a house in Britain.

Shildon in County Durham retains its position as Britain’s most affordable town for the third year in a row. Nearby Ferryhill took third and Peterlee sixth.

According to the researchers, the average house price in Shildon was £71,000, while the median income for two-earner households is £62,500, giving a price/benefit ratio of 1.14.

Grainne Gilmore, Head of Research at Zoopla, said: “The cost of living crisis has meant affordability has been pushed to the forefront of shoppers’ minds this year, more than ever.

“Our affordability data helps buyers make informed decisions about where their money can go further in Britain, especially those who may have hidden equity in their home.

“Once again we find that many of the most affordable areas for potential home buyers are in Scotland and the North of England, which could be attractive to those still looking for the perfect family space. after the pandemic.”

Overall, Zoopla found that the average two-income household will pay four times their combined annual income to buy a house with an average value in Britain of £263,000 – a 5% increase since 2021, reflecting this annual house price growth (as of January 2022) is almost double the annual wage growth.

Cities in Scotland and the North retain pole position as the most affordable areas in Britain. Four towns in Scotland also feature, with all areas of historic Ayrshire including Stevenson, Cumnock, Girvan and – the only new entrant – Irvine making the top ten, thanks to stable property prices and equal salary increases.

Cleator Moor, Egremont and Millom in Cumbria complete the top 10 affordable towns in Britain.

As homebuyers continue their pandemic-fueled ‘search for space’, these rural areas across Scotland, County Durham and Cumbria could be the perfect haven for those looking for more space and tranquility, said Zoopla.

Dog News: Horrific injuries shown in pictures after Grimsby mutilation | United Kingdom | News UK News

Sam Lodge, 53, was walking home on Weelsby Street South, Grimsby, when she came across a woman walking a whippet-like dog. She was told the dog was friendly and she leaned down to pet it.

Sam ended up mutilated in the face, exposing the cartilage in her nose and leaving her with severe injuries.

The woman has already undergone several facial operations to try and regrow the skin.

However, she was warned that the sensation on her face may never return due to nerve damage.

Sam said she loves dogs and was sad to have been the victim of the attack on Friday April 1.

Speaking to Grimsby Live, Sam said: “I was out for a walk and was almost home when I met the dog.

“I adore dogs and have always petted or stroked them whenever I have met them.

“I asked if the dog was friendly and the owner told me he was, so I leaned down to pet him.

“That’s when the dog came to get me, nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

“At first I just thought the dog had headbutted me and it wasn’t until I got home and washed my face that I realized exactly what had happened. past. It was a shock.”

Sam said she didn’t want to see the dog that attacked her put down, but wanted its owner to learn how to put a muzzle on her.

She explained: “I would hate to see the sleeping dog, I love dogs. I just want people to be more careful and tell people if their dog isn’t safe.

“If it was a small child there could have been a lot more damage – clearly it wasn’t safe.”

After the incident, Sam went to the hospital to get checked out and was told she would need major surgery to repair her injuries.

She said: “They removed a flap of skin from my hairline and attached it to the bridge of my nose.

“They then twisted my nose to help the skin accept it. I have 16 stitches in my face and am now waiting for it to start to heal. I was told it could take 18 months before that I feel anything in my head and I never could.

“I go out less per minute because it hurts me to walk in the wind.

“I have another operation in about three weeks to try to get myself to look normal again. If I’m honest, I’d like to turn back the clock. I miss not being at work and I’m really hoping I can emphasize to others that they need to make sure the dogs are safe before people pet them.”

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: ‘The owner of the dog is described as being around 5’7’ tall, slim and in her early 50s.

“She was wearing glasses, dark clothes and a hoodie. The dog is described as a medium sized whippet type cross.

“We are asking the owner of this dog to come forward.

“We also ask that if anyone was in the area at the time of the incident and has any information that would assist us in our investigations, please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 16/43260/ 22.”

Dog attacks are on the rise in the UK, with 2018 seeing 8,389 hospitalizations following similar incidents.

It marked an increase from 2002, which saw 3,395 people hospitalized following dog attacks.

Nicholas Farley, from Warrington, on the hunt for Sheffield’s sister, who ‘didn’t know he existed’ UK News

Nicholas Farley was born in 1966 in Manchester and only learned he had been adopted when he was 13 when his adoptive mother announced it.

His birth name was Dennis John Canvin, but his name was changed to Nicholas Farley once he was adopted and given that name.

Nicholas Farley, when he was younger, is looking for his blood sister with an address in Sheffield.

Interested in finding information about his birth family, Nicholas decided to get his hands on his adoption records about seven years ago. He now knows that his biological mother died and his biological father did not respond to any contact from social services.

However, Nicholas discovered, completely new to him, that he had a blood sister who was two years older than him and had been adopted two years before him in 1964.

Adele Jane Canvin

With his sister being the only remaining blood relative, Nicholas is now desperate to find and contact her. She was born Adele Jane Canvin – however, like him, Nicholas believes she will have been given a new name upon adoption.

Nicholas Farley is looking for his blood sister with an address in Sheffield.

His attempts to try to contact his sister hit a dead end, and Nicholas suspects that his sister doesn’t even know he exists.

“I have it in my file (her blood sister), but in her file it won’t show anything, so she won’t even know,” Nicholas said. “She won’t know I exist.”

Cantilupe Crescent, Aston

In his search for his sister whom he knows only as Adele, John found her last known address at 64 Cantilupe Crescent, Aston, near Sheffield, where she lived with her father and aunt.

Nicholas Farley is looking for his blood sister with an address in Sheffield.

Nicholas has tried all sorts of information about his sister, including social services, but says he’s “turning a deaf ear”.

Now stuck in a bind, Nicholas is appealing for any information people may have on Adele as he wishes to contact her. He doesn’t know what her new name is, where she is, or anything about her, but with an address in Sheffield, he thinks it’s possible she’ll stay in the city.

Abusive son who claimed he slept attacking mum and stepdad in South Shields jailed UK News

An abusive son who claimed he slept while he attacked his mother and stepfather has been jailed.

Ross Pippin pulled his mum’s hair and kicked and hit his partner with a saucepan during a drunken outburst at their home in South Shields. His mother asked that he be spared jail in a victim impact statement, but a judge told her only custody could be warranted.

Newcastle Crown Court Pippin went to his mum’s on the afternoon of August 24 last year and was sober and pleasant, but he went out drinking that night and she told him not to go back when he was rang around 11 p.m. But at 1:40 a.m., she was woken up by him at the door. She let him in and told him to go straight to bed and he said he would sleep on the couch.

She went to bed but then heard him screaming downstairs and asked him to stop. She went back to bed but he started again so she went back downstairs with her partner. The court heard he insulted his mother and then knocked the TV off its stand.

Prosecuting Michael Cahill said: “She said she had had enough and he had to go and her stepfather called 999 and asked for the police. The defendant pushed his mother into the kitchen and punched and kicked his stepfather, his mother tried to bring him down and this resulted in him pulling his mother’s hair.

“Her stepfather tried to protect her and the accused grabbed a saucepan and hit him on the back of the head. His stepfather fell to the ground and was kicked by the accused while he was on the ground, he got up and went to the living room and the accused continued to shout insults at him and hit him a few more times.

“He came out and was followed by the defendant who kicked him to the ground.” Pippin then came back into the house and said to his mother, “I’m going down for this.”

In a victim impact statement, his mother said: “I’m still mad at him and don’t want to see him, but I think a custodial sentence wouldn’t help him. A custodial sentence won’t help. would benefit neither me nor him and I want it to be put on the right track rather than going to prison. I am very sorry that he is going to prison and I want to give him one last chance.

His stepfather added that the assault had affected his job as a bus driver and added: “I think he needs mental health support. When he’s sober he’s a decent man .”

The court heard Pippin had 47 prior convictions, including common assault, battery, breach of a restraining order and criminal damage against his mother. The 31-year-old homeless man pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm to his stepfather, common assault to his mother and criminal damage.

Jailing him for 16 months and imposing a five-year restraining order, recorder Carl Gumsley said: “I can understand a mother not wanting to see her son go to jail. However, you are a violent man, you are a hostile man, especially when intoxicated.

“In my opinion, despite what is said in the mental health report that you wanted to do something about it, you have not given any demonstration of it. The pre-sentence report indicates that you lack the motivation to change and that you disrespect authority.

“Even now, in the pre-sentence report, you say you just offended because you were sleeping somehow, which I consider to be complete nonsense. You pose a risk of serious harm to your family and the public and you have the most appalling record.”

Jennifer Coxon, defending, said: “He is remorseful. He says he was drunk. His instructions are that he had trouble sleeping, he had mental health issues and was doing nightmares, what he was doing that night, he said he cried in his sleep.

“He accepts that he reacted very badly and he lost his temper and basically saw red and couldn’t see through the haze he had. He accepts that he went after the wrong people, people who are there to support him. He is, deep down, a nice young man.”
