Police received a report of a body in the water on Dockfield Road in Shipley around 10.20am today.
The emergency services came and confirmed that the body was that of a man.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigations are in an early stage and are continuing.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “At 10.18am today, the police received a report of a body in the water on Dockfield Road, Shipley.
The emergency services came and confirmed that the body was that of a man.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Investigations into the man’s death are at a very early stage and are continuing.”
