A MAN was arrested after a person was seen with a suspected gun near a supermarket.
Police were called at 4:40 pm this afternoon to a report of a man believed to be in possession of a ‘gun’ in an alleyway between Sainsbury’s and Causeway store in Horsham.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the area and a man was arrested.
He was taken into custody for questioning.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “This incident is being treated as isolated and there does not appear to be a threat to the local community.
“Officers conducted a thorough search of the area and the suspect has been safely detained. He was taken into custody for questioning.
