Worthing tarmac accident: car overturns and police at the scene Brighton News

A MOTORIST escaped with only minor injuries after a serious accident on a main road, it was reported.

Police and ambulance teams were called to Tarring Road, Worthing this morning (Saturday May 1).

It is understood that the silver vehicle was struck sideways by another vehicle.

The car was overturned on its roof as a result of the collision.

The accident occurred near the junction with South Street Tarring and Downview Road near a level crossing.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the road was closed.

Two police cars blocked the road in one direction and set up a cordon, while the ambulance was also there.
