COVID-19: Nearly 19 million people received two doses of vaccine in UK as 11 more deaths reported | UK News

Another 636,647 coronavirus vaccines were given yesterday, with nearly 19 million people now having had two injections.

It comes as the the government announced that people aged 18 and over is believed to be able to get hits in some areas of Blackburn following an increase in cases of the worrisome Indian variant.

Some 2,657 new cases of the virus have been recorded across the UK in the latest figures, meaning there are now 4,444,631 diagnoses since the start of the pandemic.

And 11 more deaths were reported, bringing the total toll to 127,651.

A total of 184,210 first vaccines were distributed yesterday, meaning that 35,906,671 people have now received a first injection.

And with 452,437 second doses administered, a total of 18,890,969 people had a full cycle of immunizations.
