A former amateur boxer has been jailed after killing his brother with a punch during an argument on the streets.
Dominic Robson admitted manslaughter of his 27-year-old brother Jordan Bell after they argued at a party in Sunderland in July of last year.
The couple had been spotted sharing drinks together at a downtown bar, but their relationship quickly turned sour after Robson’s girlfriend joined them.

The 26-year-old got annoyed when Mr Bell allegedly made sexual jokes or comments about his girlfriend, and an argument ensued in the pub, before spilling out into the streets.
Robson, who had trained as a boxer for six or seven years and had participated in three amateur fights, threw a single punch at Mr. Bell, knocking him to the ground and causing him catastrophic brain damage when he banged his head against the concrete. .
Mr. Bell was put on a resuscitation machine and two weeks later his family decided to turn off the machine after suffering a stroke.
Newcastle Crown Court heard statements from victims of Jordan’s devastated parents, Andrew and Tracy, who adopted him at the age of six and his sister Sarah when she was two.
Andrew Bell said: “I have had my soul ripped out and there is nothing to replace it.”
Jordan’s mother said: “After years of trying, we had our perfect family – everything was taken away.
” Why us ? My heart was ripped out.
Robson was adopted by another family.

Initially, forklift driver Robson of Birchwood, Sunderland, denied manslaughter, saying he was acting in self-defense.
But in April of this year, during his trial, he changed his plea and admitted the charge.
