The shareholders of Sheffield Forgemasters have agreed to sell all of their share capital to the Ministry of Defense.

The Range to open new store and create 40 jobs

UK home, leisure and garden retailer The Range has announced the opening of a new store in Stocksbridge later this year.

The new store will be located at Fox Valley Shopping Center in North Sheffield and will take over the old Next store, which closed recently.

About 40 new full-time and part-time jobs will be created, and the Stocksbridge branch is expected to bring additional footfall to popular stores

JTF warehouse staff in South Yorkshire to sue bosses over dismissal

About 100 workers at JTF Mega Discount Warehouse are set to take legal action against the bosses after they were fired with immediate effect after a failed deal to sell the business.

JTF, which had a store in Catcliffe, Rotherham, said it collapsed on Wednesday, July 21, with around 500 people losing their jobs across the company.

The Range will open a new store in Stocksbridge later this year.

Former employees have contacted law firm Simpson Millar, saying they have been informed by email that they have been terminated with immediate effect and those on leave will not return to work as scheduled. READ THE FULL STORY HERE
