Love Island winner Millie leaves viewers wishing she stole the £ 50,000 for herself UK News

Many Love Island viewers wished Millie stole the £ 50,000 prize for herself after she and Liam won the final series on Monday night.

Bookies were on hand for every ranking of the Love Island Final this year, with Kaz and Tyler finishing 4th, Faye and Teddy taking third place and Millie and Liam triumphant ahead of Chloe and Toby.

Their victory came minutes after Liam finally asked Millie to be his girlfriend, leaving her absolutely delighted.

But some Love Island fans still can’t forget how Liam betrayed her at Casa Amor – kissing the bombshell Lillie and sharing a bed with her.

Lillie spilled the bean to Millie and the rest of the Islanders at the end of Casa Amor’s recoupling, leaving her furious with Liam.

And for that reason, despite having patched things up, some viewers wanted Millie to get revenge on Liam by taking the £ 50,000 home herself.

She got the chance, as she was the one who ended up with the envelope with £ 50,000 inside, but she stuck with Liam and chose love over money, which means they’ll share the five-figure prize.

Disappointed fans took to Twitter wishing she had stolen the money, with a tweet: “Millie should have said ‘for Casa Amor I’m taking this 50,000 mate” and, echoing the same sentiments, another posted: “Millie really could have had her take revenge on Liam and decided to keep the entire £ 50,000”

A third responded: “If I was Millie and I had the £ 50,000, I would keep the money and go, embarrass myself like that on national TV? No .. bye.”

Others speculated that the two envelopes Millie received contained money, and Liam’s did not contain anything.
