Man dies in subway stabbed as 16-year-old boy arrested in murder investigation Bath City News

A 16-year-old boy suspected of murder has been arrested after a man was found stabbed outside a subway. Police found a 21-year-old man stabbed outside the takeaway chain in Bournemouth town center early yesterday morning (March 12).

The man was taken to hospital after the incident, which happened around 4.44am, but later died of his injuries. His family have been notified and are being supported by specially trained officers, according to Dorset Live.

Detective Inspector Simon Huxter, of Dorset Police’s Major Crimes Investigation Team, said: “Following expedited inquiries I can confirm that a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The victim’s family has been kept informed of the progress of the investigation and our thoughts are with them and their friends at this tragic time.

“A section of Old Christchurch Road and Horseshoe Common remains closed as our examination of the scene continues and CCTV investigations are ongoing in the area. I continue to call on anyone who witnessed this incident and has not yet contacted us to contact us, no matter how small you think it may be.

“I would also ask local residents and motorists who were in the area at the relevant time to check their home CCTV systems or dash cam footage and come forward if they have captured anything of interest to our investigation.

“I understand that this incident has had an impact on the community and members of the public will continue to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days. Officers from the local Neighborhood Policing Team can be approached in the event problem.”
