The Blades have kind of clung to their play-off spot at the weekend despite losing to struggling Reading, and at this stage of the season it’s pretty much a matter of hanging on to it as they seek qualify for the season-ending shootout and give themselves a chance to regain their place in the Premier League.

United manager Paul Heckingbottom believes he has identified the reasons for his side’s shock defeat to Reading as preparations for a visit to Bristol City gathered pace.

as Gibbs-White is fouled as he throws the ball in Berge’s direction, a decent shooting position you’d have to say with Gibbs-White and Norwood looking particularly interested… Fleck is also at- over it but Gibbs-White kicks it into the wall, Bentley tries to keep it and does it but only straight to Norwood but the City defense clears

to the inbound corner but can’t direct it on target and it’s a Blades goal kick

as he bursts into the box looking to get on the end of a cross, but referee Stroud fends off calls

as he shapes a yard or two of space to hit it, but he overshoots Bentley’s goal
