Man arrested after A4174 crash killed moped Bath City News

A man has been arrested after an accident killed a moped driver last night (Sunday April 17).

Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing to witnesses to the collision, near Bristol, to come forward. Police were called to the A4174 Wraxall Road roundabout in Warmley after a car and a moped collided at around 9.45pm.

Paramedics attended the scene, but the moped was pronounced dead at the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police said in a brief statement: “His family have been notified and are being supported by trained officers. Our thoughts are with them at this time. A 27-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody .

“The road was closed for several hours but reopened shortly before 5.30am this morning. We ask anyone who witnessed the collision or has footage of Dascham to please call 101.”
