The A37 has been closed in both directions following a serious accident in Dorset this evening (Tuesday April 26).
The collision involves two vehicles and happened between the A35 at the Monkeys Jump roundabout in Poundbury and the B3147 in Charminster, around 25 minutes from Yeovil.
It is not known at this stage whether anyone was injured as a result of the collision or when the road is likely to reopen.

The road has been closed since 5:40 p.m., while traffic is proceeding normally in the area.
Anyone traveling on the A37 into Dorset from Somerset tonight is urged to research alternative routes.
