Search for Britain’s top black business leaders begins Business

Nominations are open for this year’s Black British Business Awards, an annual event that celebrates the achievements of some of the country’s top business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Now in its eighth year, the awards recognize “business excellence” among black professionals in six fields: the arts and media; consumption and luxury; start-ups; financial services; professional services; and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

A “rising star” and “senior leader” award will be presented for each category at a digital ceremony in October.

Sophie Chandauka, co-founder of the awards, said: “It is a community that has remained resilient and that is focused on its contribution to the UK economy in the face of a pandemic, racial unrest and personal suffering. Now is the time to reward and recognize these unsung heroes. “
