Mick Fleetwood sells rights to 300 songs Business

Fleetwood, 73, said: “This is a wonderfully inspiring marriage between two creative partners who understand all aspects of the business. Above all, BMG understands art and puts the artist first. If this partnership is any indication of my past, and now of my future, working relationship with BMG, it is because they really “get it”. “

Hartwig Masuch, CEO of BMG, said: “Mick Fleetwood is the foundation of one of the greatest rock bands, he has a unique talent for bringing together musicians of all genres and of course he is one of the most great rock drummers.

“BMG is proud to represent its greatest work and excited about the upcoming launch of Mick Fleetwood & Friends.”

The deal negotiated by his manager Carl Stubner of the Shelter Music Group.

Alongside John McVie, the drummer formed Fleetwood Mac in 1967 with guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer.

They found wider success with their third blues-rock album So play on, before going their separate ways amid infighting and drug addiction.

Fleetwood and McVie resurrected the group in the mid-1970s with a new line-up including Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie, achieving international success.

They have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful groups in history.

Buckingham was fired from the group in 2018 and replaced by Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and Crowded House’s Neil Finn.
