Four acre land with ‘development potential’ in the center of Somerset village on the market Bath City News

A large plot “with development potential” in the middle of a Somerset village has been brought to market.

Real estate agent Greenslade Taylor Hunt is marketing the four-acre site in Hambridge, near Curry Rivel.

The plot, which received an indicative price of £ 50,000, is currently used for grazing.

However, the land has potential for redevelopment, according to the real estate agent.

An advertisement for the land reads: “The site has no immediate planning history, although in the recent past it has been the subject of planning requests regarding the potential for redevelopment.

“There is no official planning history.

“As agents, we believe the site has some potential for development.”

The land is located next to the village shop and close to the Lamb and Lion pub.

The ad adds: “The attractive block of pasture is predominantly flat and occupies a prominent position in the center of the village with residential properties forming the southern and northern boundary.

“The western boundary is currently unfenced and abuts another parcel of land known as Hambridge Green.

“Access is available from the public highway via a paved track leading to a gated entrance with established access rights.”
