Veterans Affairs Minister Johnny Mercer has resigned from government, according to Downing Street.
A spokesperson for Number 10 said: “Tonight the Prime Minister accepted Johnny Mercer’s resignation from his post as Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
“He thanks Johnny Mercer for his service as government minister since 2019.”
