CCTV released man police want to find after bank card stolen Bath City News

Police released CCTV of a man they want to track down after a bank card was stolen on Street.

A woman is believed to have dropped her purse containing cash and cards in West End Street around 7 p.m. on Sunday March 28.

His bank card was subsequently used unsuccessfully by another person, after the police treated the incident as a theft by discovery.

A CCTV image of a man police would like to talk about about the incident has been released.

Avon and the Somerset Police are encouraging anyone who recognizes him or has any other relevant information to come forward.

The statement read: “At around 7 p.m. on Sunday March 28, a woman left her purse containing cash and cards at a supermarket in West End Street. Later unsuccessful attempts were made to use her card. The incident is being investigated as theft by discovery.

“The man in the picture is described as white, with black hair and wearing a black jacket or coat over a black and white top.

“If you recognize it, have seen a small black purse thrown nearby, or have any other information that might help, call 101 citing reference 5221066494.

“You can also call the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111. They never tell the police who you are, just what you know.”
