Fans of the show have been waiting all week to see the outcome of last week’s shooting, which will be revealed in tonight’s 9 p.m. episode.

The latest episode of the hit BBC One show is believed to feature a touching 29-minute AC-12 interview scene, making it the longest to date.

Speaking earlier this week, Adrian Dunbar, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings, revealed that true Line of Duty fans already know what happened to Kate Fleming in Episode Five.

After last week’s episode, Adrian appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss it with hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray.

During his Monday morning interview, Adrian was placed in the hot seat, with Susanna asking, “So we don’t know what’s happening to Kate yet?”

He replied shyly, “I know. And a lot of Line of Duty fans know that.

The response was greeted with surprise by Adil, who asked, “What, they fixed the problem, do you mean?”

Adrian then repeated with a nod, “A lot of Line of Duty fans know what’s going on.”

Susanna quickly understood that the actor was giving the hosts “really heavy information”.

Adrian went on to say that there had already been a “really big clue” as to Kate’s fate in the episode and that he was giving viewers a “massive scoop.”

The teaser immediately drove fans crazy on social media, with some comments on Twitter calling the reveal a “bombshell.”

Many viewers believe Kate will survive the showdown with Ryan because she’s a major character on the popular show, which has been around since 2012.

But others have speculated that it could be a double bluff from writer Jed Mercurio.

And some eagle-eyed fans have pointed fingers at an old Series Six trailer, which they say reveals whether Kate is coming out of the situation alive.
