Arlene Foster faces a battle to stay at the helm of the Democratic Unionist Party.

Sky News understands that 75% of members of the Northern Ireland Assembly of the Democratic Unionist Party have signed a letter calling for a leadership race.

The challenge, first reported by the Belfast News Letter, could mark the end of Arlene’s Foster’s tenure as Prime Minister of Northern Ireland.

Yesterday, eight of the party’s 18 constituency associations submitted letters of concern about the leadership’s handling of the Northern Ireland Protocol and other issues.
