Singer Ellie Goulding has given birth to her first child.
Mother and baby are “both healthy and happy,” her husband, Caspar Jopling, said on Instagram. He has not confirmed the sex of the baby.
The art dealer added he was “extremely grateful” and requested confidentiality.
“I never speak to the public attention that accompanies Ellie’s work,” he wrote.
“But during this magical and personal time, we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy. Thank you x.”

Goulding, 34, revealed she was pregnant in February. They found out that she was expecting their first wedding anniversary in August, she said, adding that it came as a surprise.
“That wasn’t the plan,” she told British Vogue. “The idea of getting pregnant didn’t seem like a reality. Getting pregnant made me feel human.
“I have curves that I have never had before. I appreciate that. My husband appreciates it.
Goulding and Mr Jopling were married in a ceremony at the York Minister on August 31, 2019.
She wore a traditional bespoke wedding dress with a veil and train designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi for Chloe, while Mr. Jopling opted for a suit from the tailors of Savile Row Huntsman.
