The ONS also publishes house price figures by Super Middle Layer Production Zones (MSOA) – small geographic areas with an average population of 7,200 people.
These are the eight neighborhoods (MSOA) that make up Bedford have experienced a decline in house prices during the same period.
The biggest price drop was in Queens Park, where the average price fell to £ 246,229, down 18.9% from September 2019. Overall, 48 homes changed hands here between October 2019 and September 2020, a decrease of 37%.

The second biggest price drop was in Harpur, where the average price fell to £ 206,896, down 8% from September 2019. Overall, 70 homes changed hands here between October 2019 and September 2020, a decrease of 44%.

The third biggest price drop came in Kempston North, where the average price fell to £ 252,213, down 7.4% from September 2019. Overall, 40 homes have changed hands here between October 2019 and September 2020, a decrease of 31%. .

The fourth biggest price drop came in Cauldwell, where the average price fell to £ 204,685, down 5.2% from the year to September 2019. Overall, 85 homes changed hands here between October 2019 and September 2020, a drop of 24%.
