David Cameron told the senior Treasury official he was “bonkers” that a financial services company he was lobbying for was denied access to government-guaranteed COVID loans.
The deputies of the select treasury committee published a correspondence between the former prime minister and a range of ministers and officials on behalf of Greensill Capital.
He precedes an appearance before the committee by Lex greensill, the billionaire founder of the now bankrupt finance company.

Eight minutes later, Mr. Cameron texted Mr. Sunak, saying, “Rishi, David Cameron here. May I have a really quick word at some point?
