Many buyers were disappointed after finding out that the fan-favorite Aldi Hanging Egg Chair was sold out, with over 80.00 buyers stuck in virtual queues on Aldi’s website.
However, it is not yet time to despair – Tesco has now launched its own egg chair which is almost identical to the Aldi version, and costs just £ 1 more.
Tesco said: “All of the 20,000 buyers who got stuck in the Aldi Special Buys virtual queue system over the weekend and missed the chance are in luck today as Tesco is launching garden furniture. almost identical, and for up to £ 200 less! “
Included in the range of garden furniture is the Tesco Rattan Egg chair, which is described as ‘an almost identical version’ of the Aldi Hanging Egg chair sold out for just £ 1 more.
For £ 150, the Tesco Rattan Egg chair “offers comfort and style, perfect for launching out in the sun and adding a little luxury to picnics in the garden”.
The chair is available for purchase at 100 Tesco stores across the UK.
