M5 traffic in five mile queues as emergency repairs are carried out near Bridgwater – live updates Bath City News

Traffic queues for five miles on the M5 as a hole in the motorway is filled.

Traffic was previously blocked, but all lanes have since been reopened and the journey time is now 20 minutes.

Traffic is affected for emergency repairs near Bridgwater.

The Inrix traffic monitor reported that vehicles were “lining up” on the M5 south carriageway.

The affected section of the M5 is at junction 23 of the A39 in Bridgwater North.

Inrix reports: “All lanes have been reopened. The journey time is 20 minutes.

“The traffic was being removed at the exit, sent around the roundabout, then back down via the entrance ramp.”
