Jesy Nelson landed a solo record deal five months after leaving Little Mix.

It was a Twitter post from the girl group that confirmed Jesy’s decision to quit just before Christmas, in a post that said the rest of the group was “fully supportive of Jesy” but were not “ready for it.” (Little Mix) to be finished. ”

Speaking to Instagram herself, Jesy then explained, “The truth is, being in the band recently really had an impact on my mental health.

“I find the constant pressure to be in a girl group and to meet expectations very difficult.”

Now, less than two weeks after Little Mix made Brit Award history by becoming the first female act to win the British Group, Jesy has revealed to her 7.9 million Instagram followers that she has signed a solo contract with Polydor.

The 29-year-old said: “I am so excited to announce that I have signed my very first solo record deal with @ polydorrecords @ universalmusicgroup.

“It’s a moment that pinches me so much. I can’t wait for you to hear what I’ve been working on.

Over the past few months, Jesy has teased fans with photos of her in a recording studio and one of the first people to react to her big news has been Kamille, a longtime Little Mix collaborator, who has posted: “Wooooooo !!! Yassss babe so horny for you !!!”

Another friend, famous eyelash artist Charlotte Driver, commented, “The emotional parent in me is back. So so so proud of you. You deserve the world. You don’t realize how amazing you really are. I love you so much”

An enthusiastic fan responded: “I couldn’t be more proud of you !! It’s so exciting … and only the beginning … you deserve every moment.”

Jesy was thanked by Little Mix in the British acceptance speech with Leigh-Anne Pinnock saying, “We’ve been together for ten years … ten years.

“We’ve been through so much. We had so much fun, we made so many beautiful memories.

“We want to start by thanking our amazing fans, of course Jesy and our amazing team.”
