COVID-19: UK records three coronavirus-related deaths and 2,439 other cases | UK News

The UK has recorded three more coronavirus-related deaths and 2,439 other cases, according to the latest government figures.

It comes after five deaths were recorded on Sunday, along with 2,235 other cases.

Meanwhile, 38,070,038 people have now received a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine – up from 37,943,681 for Sunday.

And 22,895,556 people have now received two doses of the vaccine – also up from the 22,643,417 recorded on Sunday.

Previously it was revealed that the the public will probably have to wait longer for more details on the government’s review of social distancing rules and its proposals for COVID certification due to growing cases of the Indian variant.

Downing Street reported Boris Johnson would wait longer to unveil the plans, although the Prime Minister has had previously promised to provide details by the end of the month.

Mr Johnson’s official spokesperson said on Monday that the revised social distancing rules will be released “as soon as possible based on the latest data, which will help us educate ourselves on what action we can take around certification. “.
