Six pubs a week have closed in UK since first lockdown, study finds Business News


The sixth round of pubs have closed weekly in the UK since the start of the first coronavirus lockdown, new figures show.

In the past 14 months, 384 ads have been converted to another use or demolished, according to data compiled by real estate advisor Altus Group.

As of March 20 of last year, there were 40,886 pubs in England and Wales, including those that were vacant and offered for rent.
