Netflix announces new TV series and movies coming in June Brighton News

NETFLIX announced a new lineup of movies and TV series coming to the streaming platform in June.

Netflix now has fierce competition from Amazon Prime, Disney +, and Now TV, which means we’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to TV shows and movies lately.

But as the lockdown restrictions start to ease – and I hope the weather improves! – people will always be on the lookout for new TV shows and movies in the coming weeks

Lucky for us, Netflix has us covered. The streaming giant released a slew of new upcoming shows and movies in June.

Here is the full list (N * = Netflix Original):

June 1

  • Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey (2018) – Biographical crime drama that centers on a 17-year-old girl who planned to kill herself before being kidnapped and fight to stay alive.
  • Black Holes: The Edge of All We Know (2020) – Space documentary that takes an in-depth look at black holes and the incredible discoveries brought to light by observatories around the world.
  • Boogeyman (2005) – Mid-2000s Horror starring Barry Watson as a young man struggled to face the terror of childhood that has never ceased to haunt him.
  • CoComelon (Season 3) – Three more one-hour episodes of the YouTube children’s animated series.
  • Colombiana (2011) – Action thriller starring Zoe Saldana as a cold-blooded assassin who witnessed the murder of her parents as a child.
  • Count Arthur Strong (Multiple Seasons) – BBC comedy duo series starring Steve Delaney and Rory Kinnear.
  • Elvis Presley: The Searcher (2018) – Documentary by Elvis Presley chronicling his development as a musician and man.
  • Joe Wicks: The Body Coach (Season 1) – Fitness trainer Joe Wicks helps people reach their exercise goals.
  • Married to Medicine (Season 2) – Reality TV series focused on married women from Atlanta’s exclusive medical circle.
  • Nigella: At My Table (Season 1) – Cooking Series with Celebrity Celebrity Chef Nigella Lawson.
  • Octonauts (4 Seasons) – Animated series for children.
  • One Chance (2013) – James Corden headlines this biopic about Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts.
  • Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall (Season 1) – Royal Docuseries on the life of Prince Charlies.
  • Roh (2019) – Malaysian Horror.
  • Seven Souls in the Skull Castle: Season Moon Jogen (2013) – Japanese action drama.
  • Seven Souls in the Skull Castle: Season Moon Kagen (2013) – Japanese action drama sequel.
  • Soul (2019) – Malaysian horror centered on a family visited by a strange girl with a gruesome prediction.
  • Summoned (2013) – Lionsgate film about a high profile court case in which jury members are slowly murdered.
  • Super Monsters Once Upon Rhyme (2021) N – Animated musical for children.
  • The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Multiple Seasons) – Reality TV series focused on the personal and professional lives of housewives in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Thomas & Friends: Marvelous Machinery: New Arrival (2020) – A new arrival at the tech fair is creating excitement on the island of Sodor.
  • Thomas & Friends: Marvelous Machinery: World of Tomorrow (2020) – Sodor’s steam engines are worried about their future as Kenji, a high-speed electric motor, threatens the utility of steam.
