Ford performance specialist Mountune has unveiled new tuning kits for the Puma ST and Fiesta ST, taking their performance to new heights “while maintaining expert levels of driving.”
The new m260 kit, which can be fitted to both the Puma ST and the Fiesta ST, promises a power boost of between 246 hp and 256 hp – a significant advance over the stock 197 hp and an almost direct match for the Toyota GR Yaris with 257 hp.
The upgrade, which includes an induction kit, charge hose kit, and intercooler, also sees torque increase to 269 lb-ft. The kit costs £ 675 for new customers, while owners with previous Mountune upgrades can boost their existing tuning for £ 99.
“The Puma ST has been well received since its launch, and we have worked hard to improve this already impressive vehicle, taking its performance to the next level,” said David Mountain, boss of Mountune. “The two kits launched for this car increase both horsepower and performance while maintaining an OEM-plus feel.”
The Puma ST also receives the m235 kit, which was previously only available for the Fiesta ST. It costs £ 575 and boosts the power of the hot crossover from 197bhp to 231bhp, while also increasing torque from 236 lb-ft to 258 lb-ft.
Both new kits also feature improved tailpipe noise, more aggressive launch control, optimized no-lift shifting, and anti-theft mode. They each retain the factory-fitted particulate filter and catalyst assemblies.
“The Fiesta ST is a platform we’re already familiar with from our m225 and m235 power upgrades, but the m260 further enhances this already impressive vehicle,” said Mountain. “The Fiesta ST owners are a dedicated bunch who love to get as much performance as they can get out of their cars, and we can’t wait to start providing them with our latest power upgrade.
Customers can set up various calibrations from their aisle, using Mountune’s Bluetooth OBD dongle and its Smartflash app on a smartphone or tablet. Both kits are available to order now.
