Harrison Ford cheekily told a young fan he was Indiana Jones’ double after being spotted on a set in North Yorkshire.
The 78-year-old, who plays the whip adventurer for the fifth time, took off his famous brown hat when he was spotted in the village of Grosmont in North Yorkshire.
The A-lister was noticed by eight-year-old Evan Laven as he exited a tunnel in the village, which has a stop on the North York Moors Railroad.
Evan’s mother, Vicki, assistant manager, said her son then asked if he was Indiana Jones.
She added: “He took his hat off and said no, he was the stuntman.
“It was absolutely amazing, it really made my son’s day.
“We knew they were spinning, but we didn’t realize Harrison Ford was there.
“He came out of the tunnel with all his gear – I just couldn’t speak.
“He couldn’t believe Harrison Ford had spoken to him and thought his friends at school wouldn’t believe him, but we have the picture.”
Ford was later spotted in his cycling gear in a North Shields pub, singer Sam Fender unable to contain his surprise to see the star drop in his hometown.
He tweeted: “I still can’t get over the fact that Harrison Ford was in North Shields today. Han Solo was on Fish Quay man. Shields is that one.”
It is believed that Indy’s new film, also starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will also feature Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland, which has been temporarily closed to the public.
