John Street, just off London Road, was closed around 3 p.m. as part of proactive investigations in the area on Thursday, June 10.
Police said three people were arrested and suspected stolen goods were also recovered.
A police spokesperson said: “The police subsequently arrested three people, a woman and two men, for multiple offenses. Officers also recovered a quantity of goods suspected of having been stolen.
