Police march down Gateshead Street after “man with knife threatens group of people” UK News

Police broke into a street in Gateshead after a man was seen threatening people with a knife, witnesses said.

Police have received a report that a man had a dispute with occupants of an Audi A3 outside the Tesco on Carr Hill Road.

The incident happened at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Witnesses said the man was in possession of a knife and was threatening a group of people in the car.

Police said no one was injured in the incident.

Officers searched a house in the area, but those involved have not been located.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: ‘At around 8pm on Wednesday we received a report of a dispute between a man and occupants of an Audi A3 outside the Tesco on Carr Hill Road at Gateshead.

“No one was reportedly injured but witnesses told us the man was in possession of a knife and threatened the occupants of the Audi before entering a nearby address.

“Agents went to the area and searched property in the area, but none of those involved were identified or located.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information, or who has seen the altercation, is asked to contact us through our website, or by calling 101, and citing newspaper 1195 09/06 / 21. “
