UPDATE: Nearly 30 people tested positive for Covid in Bedford Bedford News

To date (June 9), Bedford has registered 27 new cases of the coronavirus, with a total of 14,843 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) or Luton (501) – and one in Central Bedfordshire (571).

The Bedfordshire center has 20 new Covid cases with a total of 16,606, while Luton has registered 20, with a new total of 21,347.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,254 Covid cases, Hertfordshire 78,199 and Milton Keynes 20,563 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5 p.m. the day before and 5 p.m. and unfortunately do not include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, to date, 40,710,319 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine and 28,540,844 have received their second dose.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has increased by 7,540 and now stands at 4,535,754. There have been six deaths, bringing the total to 127,860.
