Streatham stabbed: Met police arrest seven in fatal attack | United Kingdom | New UK News

Four men and three women are in police custody. Scotland Yard said the arrests were made on “suspicion of various offenses”.

Police were called to Prentis Road in south London at 4:16 p.m. on Thursday with reports of a stabbing.

Emergency ambulance officers and services attended the scene and found a man with a stab wound to the chest.

The victim was taken to a central London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4.51 p.m.

“The police believe they know the identity of the victim, who is in his late teens, and have informed his relatives,” said a statement.

Police met informed that officers remain at the scene and that there are currently road closures along Prentis Road.

The public is urged to avoid the area.

The force’s statement said, “The investigation is in its very early stages and work to establish the circumstances continues.

“Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 quoting CAD 5897/10 JUNE.”
