More than 300 cannabis plants discovered after raid on Blyth property UK News

More than 300 cannabis plants have been discovered on a Northumberland property after a police raid.

Officers searched an address on Cowpen Road in Blyth on Saturday and found the plants.

The drugs, which were in different stages of growth, were seized and the cannabis farm was dismantled.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged with producing cannabis.

He was scheduled to appear in South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court in Bedlington on Monday.

Meanwhile, investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact agents.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “On Saturday afternoon (June 12) we executed a warrant at an address on Cowpen Road, Blyth.

“Inside, realtors located a cannabis farm with over 300 plants in different stages of growth.

“The drugs have since been seized and the farm dismantled.

“A 38-year-old man inside the address has been arrested and has since been charged with producing cannabis. He is scheduled to appear before Bedlington magistrates today (Monday).
