Designer Glasses Worn in Disney Movie Cruella Among Hundreds of Pairs Stolen in £ 500,000 Raid | UK News

The designer glasses worn by the cast of the new Disney movie Cruella were among hundreds of pairs stolen from a high-end eyewear store in London.

CCTV footage of luxury eyewear designer Tom Davies’ store in Slone Square shows thieves stealing specs, worth up to £ 500,000.

The Burglars Loot included six frames worn in Cruella – the origin story of the Disney villain 101 Dalmatians starring Emma Stone and Dame Emma Thompson.

A spokesperson for the store confirmed that Ms Stone and Dame Emma were wearing two pairs of glasses which had been taken away.

The flight took place on June 9 and included sunglasses and optical frames.

A ‘Wanted’ poster issued by the store following the break-in read: “If you are offered sunglasses with” TOM DAVIES FOR CRUELLA “engraved on the inside of the arm, can you let us know @tdtomdavies.

“Our store was broken into on June 9 at 2 a.m. and hundreds of executives were taken.

“The thieves probably did not know that they had also stolen glasses recently made for the movie Cruella which were to be auctioned for charity.

“These distinctive mounts are of far greater value at a charity auction than to the criminals who have vandalized our store and will find it difficult to sell them.

“If any of these frames are offered to you or if you have any information you can share, please let us know or notify the local police.

“If you have the glasses in your possession, we will exchange them for a pair of Tom Davies sunglasses.

“Unless you are one of the thieves, in which case we will gladly hand you over to the authorities.”
