Manchester City have made an offer of £ 100million for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to Sky Sports News.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in signing the England captain, who has told Spurs he wants to leave this summer.
With Kane valued at over £ 120million, the North London club are expected to reject the Premier League champions’ offer.
This is despite City being prepared to offer players in addition to cash.
If a deal is made, Kane’s first game with Pep Guardiola’s side will be against Tottenham on August 15.
After last month’s Champions League final, which City lost to Chelsea, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said the club were keen to strengthen their squad by bringing “quality to a few key positions,” adding that it would be “competitive and aggressive”.
They are set to replace record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who left for Barcelona, with Kane being considered alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Inter Milan duo Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Kane’s future should only be decided after Euro 2020, however, which he would be fully focused on for now.
In a disappointing start to the tournament, he failed to score in England’s opening two games and was substituted in the first win against Croatia.
His slow start came as a surprise, given he topped the Premier League tables in goals and assists, despite Tottenham finishing seventh.
He insisted that neither lack of fitness nor speculation about his club’s future are the reasons for his lack of goals against Croatia and Scotland at Wembley.
