British travelers to Portugal who are not fully vaccinated against the coronavirus must self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival from today.
Anyone traveling on the continent Portugal by air, land or sea, must prove that they have received two doses of a COVID-19[female[feminine vaccine at least two weeks ago, or need to isolate.
The new rules, introduced by the Portuguese government, come into force on Monday and will last until at least July 11.
They specify that the quarantine can be “at home or in a place indicated by the health authorities”.
Portugal is currently on the British government’s Orange Travel List, which means passengers must also self-isolate for 10 days upon their return to Britain.
He was removed from the green list, which does not require passengers to self-quarantine, last month amid concerns over an increase in cases.

Currently, people who are not fully vaccinated are only allowed to travel from the UK to France if they can prove it is essential.
They must prove they have tested negative for the virus and self-isolate for seven days upon arrival.
Those who are fully vaccinated against COVID do not need to be quarantined, but must prove their immunization status.
Merkel’s proposals will be discussed by senior EU officials in the coming days.
