A MAN was arrested after a teenage girl was seriously injured in a three vehicle crash.
Police are calling for witnesses following the collision in Cowfold on Saturday.
At approximately 5:25 p.m., a red Hyundai traveling eastbound on the A272 collided with a red Jaguar and a gray BMW traveling westbound.
A 14-year-old Hurstpierpoint girl who was traveling as a passenger in the Hyundai was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai – a 21-year-old man from Hurstpierpoint – has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries through reckless driving.
He was released under investigation, pending further investigations.
The road was temporarily closed during survey work, but has since reopened.
