70-year-old cyclist dies after colliding with broken down truck on the A22 Brighton News

A RIDER died after colliding with a stationary truck that broke down on a busy road.

The cyclist, a 70-year-old man, died of collisions on the A22 Maresfield, Uckfield bypass at 9:34 a.m.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.

The road is currently closed in both directions for investigation and vehicle recovery work.

Sergeant Dan Eaton said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would like to hear from anyone with images from the dashcam who can assist our investigation.”
