Swindon M4: Suspected human remains found near junction 15 Bath City News

Specialized police are conducting a search in a forest near the M4 in Wiltshire after the discovery of what could be human remains.

A heavy police presence was seen at Meadow Way, Badbury Wick, where officers and forensic experts appeared to be raking the ground under a bridge near Junction 15 near Swindon.

Tonight (Friday July 2) Wiltshire Police confirmed they are investigating the discovery of possible human remains near junction 15 of the motorway.

A force spokesperson said: “Specialist officers are currently conducting a meticulous search of the area to recover any relevant material before a forensic scientific analysis is conducted.

“This type of investigation may take several weeks, but we will endeavor to provide updates where we can as this work continues.

“Members of the public will see a police presence in the area over the coming days and weeks. “
