Blue’s Duncan James announced for pride at Ironworks Brighton News

FORMER Blue member Duncan James will join Heather Peace, Bitten Peach and more to perform at Pride at the Ironworks this summer, it has been announced.

Following the cancellation of this year’s Pride, event organizers have planned a “long season of smaller LGBTQ + cultural events,” featuring cabaret, comedy, dance and theater acts, live from Ironworks Studios in central Brighton.

Events, which take place in August and September, will include Hannah Brackenury’s Victorious – the award-winning musical tribute to the late Victoria Wood, as well as LGBTQ + one man show Bottom and Brighton’s own Boogaloo Stu.

Brighton and Hove Pride Director Paul Kemp said: “Although we have not been able to host our main Pride events over the past two years, we are delighted to be able to adapt a cultural program to the present. who can bring our communities together as well as support local LGBTQ + organizations and community groups who do vital work year round.

“We are delighted that Pride at the Ironworks allows us to continue our fundraising efforts by ensuring that every ticket sold includes a charitable donation to the Brighton Rainbow Fund. ”

Brighton and Hove Pride have raised nearly £ 1million for local LGBTQ + charities and community groups to improve the livelihoods of hundreds of people in the city’s LGBTQ + community.
