Chief Detective Inspector Simon Harding, the senior investigating officer, said Hussein promised to “sacrifice” at least six women every six months in a handwritten deal with the devil.

Detectives found the letter, which was signed with the teenager’s blood, when they searched his room at his mother’s house in south London in the weeks following the murders.
