English fans line up for Brighton pubs ahead of Euro 2020 kick off Brighton News

ENGLAND fans started lining up for pubs 12 hours before the kick off of the Euro 2020 final in a bid to secure some of the best seats in the city.

Ye Olde King & Queen in Marlborough Place, Brighton, has long been a favorite destination for football fans.

Crowds of England supporters were pictured queuing for a seat at tonight’s big game at noon – seven hours before kick-off.

However, the most enthusiastic fans began to line up at 8 a.m. in an attempt to secure a spot for England’s first men’s international final since 1966.

The pub would now be full.

The football pub was forced to close its doors ahead of England’s match against Germany at Euro 2020 due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

But the place, decorated with flags and inflatable balloons since the start of the international tournament, reopened a few days later.

England captain Harry Kane said the team hope to make their fans proud of their bid for Euro 2020 glory, as the Queen and the Prime Minister give their support to the country’s footballers.

The monarch paid tribute to the team’s “spirit, commitment and pride” in a good luck message ahead of Sunday’s home final.
