Fans pack Sheffield city center as the street is renamed after the England star for the Euro 2020 final UK News

Anticipation and excitement has built up across Sheffield and the rest of England as Gareth Southgate’s heroes – including Sheffield guys Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin – prepare to take on the Italy at Wembley Stadium (8pm kick-off).

It will be the first time the England men’s team have made a major tournament final in 55 years – and there are even rumors of an emergency holiday should they win.

Sheffield’s pubs, bars and lounges are teeming with jubilant fans rejoicing after a difficult 16 months caused by the coronavirus pandemic – and one city street has even been renamed!

Sheffield has many reasons to be proud of this England team, but there are also many strong local ties. Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were all born and raised in the city, while Blades goalie Aaron Ramsdale is also on the squad.

Conor Coady also spent a season on loan at Sheffield United in the 2013/14 season and team psychologist Dr Ian Mitchell worked for the club in the 1990s.
